Last week I was out scouting locations for two separate photo shoots. I found a wondrous place just down the street from where I live. The place is Paradise Ridge Winery located at 4545 Thomas Lake Harris Drive in Santa Rosa, California. This place is – let’s see – what’s the word I am looking for?
Oh yeah, awesome.
I was looking for location to shoot sunsets and a location to shoot some jewelry for a client (For Your Adornment). I was able to accomplish both here..
While shooting the sunset in front of the tasting room, I turned around to face the moon rising over the south east side of tasting room. With the warm glow of the sunset, I whipped the tripod around and fired off a few dozen shots. I liked this one the best, because the moon is peeking through a void in the tree.
This “Wines & Sunsets in Paradise” event happens every Wednesday night at 06.00pm from 04/22/2009 – 10/28/2009. Paradise Ridge Winery is also the home to Marijke’s Grove, a sculpture exhibit nestled in a four-acre grove of ancient gnarled oaks.
A must visit.
Oh, and the wine is awesome also. I have several dozen bottles in my cellar right now.
Enjoy some wine and this photo.
