As I have mentioned in past posts I really like patterns and textures. So, one day on my deck I was playing around with a strip of lathing wire and a spray bottle of water and this is one of the photos I got from just playing around.
Here is what I did:
- I unrolled about 1 foot of the lathing wire, flattened it out and bent to corners so it would stand up on its own.
- I placed the wire on the railing of my deck so that the sun was coming through the trees at 45 degrees behind the wire.
- I then sprayed the wire with a misting spray until the drops formed to my liking.
- Then put my camera on a tripod and set it to f2.8 to blur the bageeses out of the background and set my shutter speed to 1/80 second to allow more ambient light show through the water drops.
The result, I think, is fun, creative and playful. I find it hard to focus on any one spot as my eyes wander all over the image. Enjoy.
