Scott Kelby’s 4th Annual World Wide Photo Walk 2011 Local Winner Announced
1st Place – Frank van Hoorn
Join me in congratulating Frank van Hoorn as our local World Wide Photo walk 1st place winner.

This photo taunts us with a choice between the shelter of the street lights and the precarious allure of the danger that may be lurking in the shadows. Either way, this photo leaves everything to the imagination and allows you to construct your own story.
Frank’s photo will be uploaded and submitted to the Worldwide Photowalk competition. Best of luck!
2nd Place – Mimi Carroll

This photo tells a story and the excellent use of leading lines is an attention getter for sure.
Seeing the expression on the woman’s face prompts questions like what is she thinking about? Is she happy, sad, or dispirited? Or is she just waiting for a train? No matter what is truly happening we can all identify with the same feeling and emotions that we see on her face.
3rd Place – Bonnie Lammar

The color and wonderful composition draws your attention to this photo. It’s high contrast and great color saturation makes it stand out.
Congratulations! All three winners will receive a gift certificate for one 12×18 print of their winning image provided by Jeremiah’s Photo Corner.
I want to thank everyone who uploaded a photo for this competition. As with every year, judging is the hardest part and putting your work out there for us all to see means a lot.
Keep shooting and see you next year – Ray
